What are some of the oldest restaurants in Pennsylvania?
Living in a foodie state is divine, and we’ve got so many restaurants in Pennsylvania that we can never get bored dining out. Some of the best are also some of the oldest restaurants in Pennsylvania, including:
- McGillin’s Olde Ale House in Philadelphia opened in 1860.
- Historic Duffy’s Tavern in Boalsburg is said to be haunted. It opened in 1819.
- The Stouch Tavern in Womelsdorf has been a favorite since 1785.
- Jean Bonnet Tavern in Bedford, which opened in 1762, welcomes overnight guests and diners; it’s also said to be one of the most haunted restaurants in Pennsylvania.
- The Historic 1776 Dobbin House Tavern in Gettysburg, one of the most haunted towns in Pennsylvania, dishes up delicious meals along with a side of the paranormal.
