It’s no secret that Disney’s Dole Whip is my all time favorite Disney snack. According to our readers, it’s A LOT of y’all’s favorite too! In fact, it was no surprise that it was number ONE on our list recently. Check it out, right here: 20 Snacks You Can’t Miss in Disney World.
For years, Disney fans like myself have tried to replicate the deliciousness that is Disney Dole Whip.
This sweet and tart, creamy pineapple ice cream is an essential snack on any Disney vacation – and it’s the first thing I start to crave after I haven’t been at the parks in a few months. It’s the perfect treat to cool down in the Florida heat… but who am I kidding? This Dole Whip tastes great at any time of year.
Disney finally shared the official recipe – so we’ve scraped our original attempt (which wasn’t quite perfect) and have now replaced it with this perfect copycat.
“Whip” up a batch of this delicious goodness and share with the family. Or, DON’Tshare! It’s totally up to you!
Disney World Dole Whips
Disney Dole Whips are less than $5 at the parks and are also available to purchase using a snack credit if you’re using the Disney Dining Plan.
There are several locations around Disney World to find a Dole Whip. One of our favorite spots is in the Magic Kingdom at Aloha Isle. Another favorite spot is at Disney’s Polynesian Resort at their very own Pineapple Lanai where you can also opt for the a pineapple-vanilla twist (my daughter’s favorite) or get a shot of rum added to your whip.
I also really love the Dole Whip Float, which is a Dole Whip added to a glass of pineapple juice. It sounds like a very basic addition but I LOVE this upgrade.

The dairy-free dessert is made from a pineapple-flavored dry mix (dried pineapple juice and the key to all silky smooth soft serve: stabilizers) that's combined with water and pumped out of a soft-serve machine.
A Dole Whip can be a healthy dessert choice. Since it is made with pineapple, it adds in some fiber, vitamins, and minerals. It is also lower in calories than your traditional ice cream. That being said, it does have a decent amount of sugar added, and something to be mindful of.
From the classic DOLE Whip® Pineapple Soft Serve at the Tiki Juice Bar to the flavorful Chile-Mango Whip at The Tropical Hideaway, there are many tempting ways to indulge around Disneyland® Park and Disneyland® Hotel.
Since that time, Disney vacationers have been able to delight in this slightly tart frozen sweet treat throughout our parks and resorts – and on Disney Cruise Line! The Dole Whip original (and still most popular!) is pineapple.
Dole Whip (also known as Dole Soft Serve) is a soft serve dairy-free frozen dessert created by Dole Food Company in 1984. Prior to 2023, when Dole Whip began to be sold at retailers, Dole Whip was served at Disney theme parks and Dole Soft Serve was sold elsewhere.
Pineapple juice, frozen pineapple chunks, vanilla ice cream, lemon juice, salt, and sugar (which is optional.) The real Disneyland Dole Whip is vegan now, made with a non-dairy creamer, sugar, and natural flavoring and coloring.
To get all the goodness of a Disney Dole Whip without entering the park or waiting in line, simply head to a few select Disney resort hotels. Visitors in both Anaheim, CA, and Orlando, FL, have the option to buy their pineapple treats outside the park — you just have to know where to do it! That's where we come in.
Instead of taking a trip to Disney to get your hands on a Dole Whip, you'll be able to visit your local grocery store. That's right! Dole Whip will now be sold as part of a four-pack in one of three flavors: pineapple, strawberry, or mango.
Dole blends real fruit with sunshine-sweetened honey into a creamy, enchanting treat you can enjoy anytime. “WOW. This snack is DELICIOUS. It was so creamy — much creamier than we expected.”
Pineapple juice, frozen pineapple chunks, vanilla ice cream, lemon juice, salt, and sugar (which is optional.) The real Disneyland Dole Whip is vegan now, made with a non-dairy creamer, sugar, and natural flavoring and coloring.
This claim is suspect, as Dole Whips are made of a mix of these ingredients (you might not want to read that), not fresh pineapple. If you live somewhere that isn't Hawaii, you're out of luck. That is, unless you have a soft serve ice cream machine and order the mix yourself from Unified Enterprises.
