A/N Ok this is a new ship I found out on Instagram so Basketball x Snowball <3
I find this ship pretty cute tbh! Pretty sure people will probably hate me for shipping them but idc. ofc I respect y'all opinions but once again, don't go hating on me in the comments just because I ship them.

Snowball watched as Lightning floated away from him.
"I don't want to be on a team with you..."
Those words kept repeating in Snowball's head, Lightning didn't want to be on a team with him? They were best pals or so Snowball thought... Snowball sat at the edge of the building. The other contestants were on the ground so he hopes no one bothers him.
Snowball sadly dangled his feet at the edge of the building. Maybe it was true... Snowball didn't have any friends... Lightning was his only hope of actually gaining a friend. Snowball watched the contestants from below and saw Lightning with his new team. Snowball quickly looked away as he didn't want to look at the bolt. Snowball was too upset to hear the elevator door opening. A contestant walked up to Snowball without hesitation.
"Hey, Snowball-"
"GAH!" Snowball nearly fell off the building but managed to keep his balance. He turned around and saw it was Basketball.
"Sorry, didn't mean to scare-"
"I-I wasn't scared! What are you doing up here?" Snowball quickly responded.
Basketball rolled her eyes. "I was just wondering if you were ok? You hadn't been with the team for a few hours and you were still sitting up here... Is something wrong?" Basketball asked, sounding concerned.
Snowball crossed his arms then turned the other way. "Nope! Everything is just... Fine..." Snowball said which made Basketball seem unsure.
"Ok, I can tell that everything is not fine, what's wrong and give me a real answer!" Basketball asked.
Snowball sighed. "It's just... Lightning... He was my friend... My only friend that is... And when I asked if he wanted to be a team he declines my offer..." Snowball's voice slowly dropped into a whisper.
Basketball did felt bad for the guy, even though he was rude to everyone. She sat down next to Snowball.
"I can tell you've probably gone through a lot today with Lightning... And I do feel kinda bad for you since your best and possibly only friend just left you like that..."
Snowball continued to frown, he and Lightning were a perfect duo together. "Whatever I did to make him leave me like that... I do hope I could do better..." Snowball softly muttered.
Basketball gave a gentle smile "If it'll help, I wouldn't mind being friends with you" she said.
Snowball thought about it. "I guess... You are the second strongest person on our team..."
"I guess I'll take that as a compliment" Basketball chuckled.
Snowball looked down and gave a small smile, he wasn't use to smiling in such a friendly way.
Few minutes of awkward silence past then Snowball slowly leaned forward to Basketball.
Basketball gently pushed him away. "Woah, what are you doing?" Basketball asked.
Snowball's cheeks had a faint hint of light blue. "Oh uh... Sorry...! I didn't mean- I mean... I use to do this to Lightning and well-"
Basketball surprised Snowball with a smooch on his cheek. "You can be a real dummy sometimes~ " Basketball smirked then got up.
Snowball watched as Basketball went back to the elevator then winked at him as the elevator door closes.
A small grin appeared on Snowball's face.

A/N I felt bad for Snowball on the first episode of TPOT as Lightning just left him like that... Snowlight is one of my comfort ships so that hurts :[ I do wish for things to get better with Snowball when the episodes continue.
Snowball is also one of my comfort characters so I hope he does get a little bit of character development on being nice for once. The crew really did him dirty like that :< and I do hope in the future he and Lightning could continue being friends!
