All-Star Ingredient: Salad Dressing (1)

Salad dressings are not only a delicious and simple way to spice up your salads but can be used to boost the flavor of all kinds of dishes. Here at CHEF iQ, we recommend having these five dressings on-hand.

Balsamic Vinaigrette

The acidity and depth of flavor you find in a high-quality balsamic vinaigrette are unparalleled. This classic dressing works with just about any greens and is also delicious for dunking an Italian deli sandwich. You can also use this dressing on some ripe plum tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, and basil.

Caesar

Whether you make your own at home with anchovies and eggs or you simply pick up your favorite brand at the market, Caesar is a must-have. This hearty American classic is incredibly satisfying and traditionally served with Romaine lettuce, homemade croutons, and shaved Parmesan. But if you’re not in the mood for a traditional Caesar salad, swap out Ranch for Caesar to serve with your crudité.

Green Goddess

A rich mix of yogurt, garlic, and loads of tender leafy herbs makes up healthy Green Goddess dressing. Some trusty add-ins include parsley, cilantro, tarragon, and scallions. Due to this dressing’s thicker consistency, it’s best served on heartier greens like Romaine. Drizzle it on your favorite lunchtime sandwich or a grilled chicken dinner for some extra flair.

Maple-Dijon Vinaigrette

Maple-Dijon Vinaigrette tastes like a crisp autumn day. This fall-inspired vinaigrette pairs best with tender greens and other Fall seasonal treats like apples. If you mix some into mustard, you can create a mouthwatering dipping sauce for your chicken tenders!

Carrot Ginger Dressing

You may recognize this dressing from the salad at your favorite sushi restaurant. This sweet and savory dressing packs a punch, and you can use it in anything from your salads to marinades! We stand by using it on our Japanese-style lettuce cups or rice bowls for a boosted flavor.
