  Amazing Professor she cares very much about her students and was very accommodating of giving me extra time when I was dealing with some personal issues. I have taken multiple classes with her and have enjoyed every single one of them!

  This professor is the most helpful Sociology professor I have had at CSUF! She is very good at helping after class and responding to messages. Lectures are very entertaining and she is good at explaining what she expects from you for each assignment.

  I took her Gender & Sex etc.. class. She was amazing-totally different 180 from her writing class. YOU MUST TAKE HER GENDER CLASS.I didn't think it would be for me but let me tell you, she totally changed my view!! Must be there, heavy reading but make study groups, test online, 1 paper of a movie, do discussion board and responses

  For her class you have 2 theory papers, and 3 exams that includes the final w/ 4 shrt ansr essay and over all just discussions boards. She had the class read a textbook that is verbouse but in her class lectures she explains it in her own words. On the exams she tends to word her questions so do pay attention in class. Overall, it's a good class.

  Ive had the pleasure of taking 302, 308, 354, and 410 with her. She is amazing. Loved her lectures bc she provided fun examples that keep you engaged. Put in enough effort and you should get an A. Shes also super approachable and relatable with her students. she is truly one of the best professors I have ever taken. take her if you can!!!

  The class consists of weekly readings, lectures, quizzes, and small assignments that are easy to do. The workload is manageable. There are only 2 exams in this class (easy). Professor Cretney is quick at replying to emails and gives great feedback. I would recommend taking her, and I will definitely be taking her again in the future.

  you spend the whole semester working one paper. if you have taken her 302 class (i have) its the same paper, but in this class you really get a lot feedback from her and I really felt like my writing improved from this class. weekly discussion boards that apply relevant skills to the paper. no exams. shes great and i would gladly take her again!!!

  This class seemed like it was going to be a lot of work, but it wasn't. A discussion board and a chapter quiz every week (5 Qs), a midterm and final (open note), you create a survey and write a quick paper about it (easy), and the research proposal (hardest assignment but got an A). Got an A (wasn't easy) and will take her for 308!!

  TAKE HER! You wont regret it. Seems like the workload is heavy but its reasonably easy. Weekly discussions/quizzes (canvas/easy). 2 exams (canvas/moderate). Survey paper and research paper/poster (takes a lot of time). Tip: just do the assignments and itll be an easy A/B. Shes super friendly! Planning on taking her for other soc classes too!

  Professor Cretney was great! Textbook is required and necessary if you wanna do good on weekly quizzes/discussions and exams! Textbook is an easy read and very interesting! Her lectures are summarys of the reading but textbook would still be needed. When it comes to her assignments shes a very easy grader as long as she sees effort put into it.

  10/10 Professor Cretney was very helpful all throughout the semester. She responds to your emails within 48 hours and provides important feedback. This class consisted of writing one paper throughout the course so it is important that you pay attention to deadlines and watch the lectures. One of my favorite classes so far.

  Great professor! Workload heavy, but it is not difficult. Her structure for the class builds you up for your final paper. Exams were moderately easy if you complete the study guide she provides. Quizzes are based off the reading/lecture. Stay on top of your assignments and you'll do fine. I would definitely take her again.

  The classes are asynchronous. Two textbooks are needed for the class but aren't necessarily needed, the powerpoints are pre-recorded and pretty much goes over what's discussed in the book. Weekly quizzes and discussion posts. 3 reaction papers to films, 1 group paper. 3 tests. Overall a solid choice of a professor.

  Lots of busywork! 3 Exams, 4 papers (1 is part of a group project), 15 discussion boards (100 words minimum) and 1 response to another student, 15 quizzes, and lots of reading. Asynchronous class. I feel like if I hadnt dropped this class, my gpa would have suffered by not having enough time to work on my other classes. Good luck out there!

  She is clear in the study guides that are exactly like the exam. Makes boring lessons fun by applying it to real-world examples. The work gradually gets more intensive, so just make sure to have a plan and a head start on the assignments. She is very willing to help or just talk. Overall she is funny and cares very much about her student's success.

  Very friendly. She is very specific and her study guide reviews are helpful. Assignments help you to better understand the content of the class. She applies current events to her lecture and gives a lot of information. She is very talkative, which is not a bad thing, just make sure if you plan to chat with her that you have nothing else going on.

  She is super sweet! Her exams are easy just study her reviews and you will not got anything less than a B !!! She has 2 reaction papers about movies you watch but she provides clear instructions so you should be fine ! She is not a tough grader !

  Truly a good professor, she was one of my classes during my first semesters ever in college and still made me comfortable. The topics are interesting, well thought out and if she rambles it has a good point. Her powerpoints basically say everything you need to know for class and writing notes is a breeze. Just pay attention, do the work, youllpass.

  The subject is a bit dry, but Professor Cretney makes her lectures engaging and interesting. She allows students to ask questions and always provides great feedback. She has a detailed syllabus and always explains what she expects from students in class. Id recommend her to anyone.

  Prof cretney is one of the best SOC prof's at CSUF. Midterm & final eachworth 50 pts,have to post wkly discussion questions & answer another students question on titanium about the reading for credit(BOOKneeded). Pretty easy straight forward 1 group project. 3 reflection papers about a film watched in class. Show up to class for pts.
