PART 2: WHY DO KOREAN EAT NOODLES ALL THE TIME?Instant noodles originated in Japan in 1958. The first cup of instant noodles was made by dehydrating steamed and seasoned noodles by flash frying. Then South Koreans upgraded it.South Koreans made instant noodles more than just a quick meal. Aside from a packet of seasoning, they would add anything to make it as healthy as possible. South Koreans are very creative when it comes to their instant noodles.💢Long noodles alsoequate with long life and a long-lasting marriageand are therefore eaten on birthdays, at weddings and on special occasions such as a hwangap – a 60th birthday (or 61st in Korean numbering), a celebration of cultural significance in the country.💢Most people know that eating too much instant noodles is not good for health. But recently, a study in Korea proved how unhealthy eating a lot of instant noodles is. 💢That was the first key to its success,it was the ideal dish to feed simple working people, who had little time to stop and eat. They are also very complete recipes, nutritionally speaking, and there are options for all tastes.💢Nutritionists and experts alike viewed them generally unhealthy. But it doesn't mean you shouldn't deprive yourself of a delicious cup of Korean instant noodles. A serving or two every 2 weeks in fine. If possible, consume instant noodles that are low in sodium and fat.💢Actually, ramen noodles are not inherently healthy or unhealthy, but they provide limited nutritional value on their own. They contain carbohydrates, fats, protein and some micronutrients like B vitamins and iron. "Objectively speaking, instant ramen noodles may not be the most nutritious option out there.💢What is the most popular Korean instant ramen?🗨Nongshim Black Shin Ramyun💢This spicy Korean ramen brand is the most popular among all the Korean ramens on the market. You'll be able to find it in many large supermarkets, as it's now exported to over 100 countries all over the world.💢Made from sweet potato starch, Korean dangmyeon noodles are naturally fat free and low in calories, making them a healthy choice for noodle lovers.💢That was the first key to its success,it was the ideal dish to feed simple working people, who had little time to stop and eat. 🗨 Korean's ramen sales?💢Korea’s ramen exports in 2020 were worth US$636.2 million, up 29.3% from the previous year. That was the first time that ramen exports have exceeded US$600 million. 2020 was also the first year that Nongshim — the manufacturer of Shin Ramyun, Chapagetti, and Neoguri — saw its sales exceed 2 trillion won (US$1.8 billion).💢Samyang Food, another major ramen manufacturer, also posted a sales record of 648.5 billion won (US$582.7 million) last year, with overseas sales climbing above US$270 million for the first time. 💢Sales in Southeast Asia and the US were boosted each years.Leave ur comments below:J.Marisa 2023TaiwanCredit Souces: Various Info I gathered.

A good breakfast gives us the energy and nutrients we need to have an energetic and productive morning and it helps to fuel us into the afternoon as well. It's crucial that our breakfasts are both healthy and filling so that we can be the best that we can be all morning and all day. This is true no matter what our age.Check out, “What Is a Good Breakfast for Seniors? 9 Meals to Keep the Elderly Healthy and Full” @ https://lnkd.in/gmg_gR6qHere are all 9…1. Avocado ToastThis simple meal is common with young people today, but it’s great for older folks as well. Avocados are full of healthy fats and multi-grain toast is rich with healthy fiber to help with digestion. It’s tasty and easy to eat, too.2. Tofu ScrambleOne cup of tofu contains twenty grams of protein and it is a great alternative to eggs which are also great but which contain a lot of cholesterol. Tofu can be scrambled on its own or cheese and vegetables can be added for an even more balanced meal.3. Hummus and English MuffinsCreamy hummus is easy to eat and because it is made from chickpeas, it is another easy way to enjoy high amounts of protein. Spread it on whole-grain English muffins and top with tomatoes or spinach for a simple meal that includes everything one needs to start the day right.4. Fruit SaladA fruit salad is so simple but it is a wonderful way to start one’s morning with fresh, vibrant colors and flavors. Vitamin C helps to ward off illness and antioxidant-filled fruits like blueberries can even help to decrease the risk of cancer. 5. French ToastFrench toast is easy to make and to chew and when you add fruit on the side and syrup on top it’s hard for anyone to resist it. Instead of using an egg batter, try using soy milk for a healthier alternative. Use multi-grain bread to make it even healthier still.6. Green SmoothiesThere are so many options when it comes to smoothies. They are easy to create and easy to drink and the possibilities are endless. Green smoothies usually include kale or spinach which provide a high dose of Vitamin A.7. Cauliflower Hash BrownsPotato hash browns are usually greasy and are often not too healthy as a result. Try using cauliflower instead for a tasty option that is easy to make and to consume.8. Oatmeal with FruitOatmeal is easy to prepare and is enjoyable at any time of the year. This tasty treat contains about four grams of fiber per cup which is wonderful for digestion. Add fruit or some maple syrup and this is a great meal not only for breakfast, but for lunch, dinner, and snacks as well.9. Breakfast PotatoesPotatoes are soft and are easy to prepare and consume. Although many potato breakfast offerings are not made in a healthy way, there are other options available to you. Slice up a potato and put it on a sheet pan and roast until ready. The finished product will provide fiber, vitamins, and minerals.#nutritionforseniors

Summer is at its peak and the mercury level is rising by a notch every day. The scorching sun gives even more reasons to constantly hunt for some cooling and soothing foods which can comfort us. It is the time of year when you get dehydrated easily due to excess sweat and perspiration and that's the time when you want to reach out for something cold like sodas, beverages or even cold water. This is where we go wrong because anything extremely low in temperature can actually constrict our blood vessels and affect the heat loss process in our body. Here are a few tips you need to keep in mind to keep yourself cool:Increase your water intake:In high humidity conditions, you do not sweat adequately due to which you cannot release heat efficiently from your body. That is the reason why you need to drink enough water at regular intervals even if you are not thirsty to cool your system.Have eatables high in water content:Eat a lot of fresh fruits, raw salads and lightly spiced foods. Fruits and veggies are easy to digest and high in water content and hence help in hydration. Avoid fried and junk foods as they take time to digest and require a lot of water. Spicy foods can also increase body heat.Grab naturally cooling drinks:Drink naturally cooling beverages like coconut water, lemon juice, buttermilk andsugarcane juice, etc. Rather than aerated soft drinks, caffeine, and alcoholic beverages as they containsugarand other preservatives which act as diuretics and can cause loss of water from the body. You can add sabja (tulsi seeds) to drinks as it has a cooling effect on the body.Havecurd:Curd is excellent as it increases friendly bacteria in the gut and improves digestion and boosts immunity.Include veggies indiet:Add veggies like cucumbers, tomatoes, carrots, spinach, beet etc to add to the extra water in your diet.#help #like #water #content Small meals:avoid heavy meals at one time as it can causeacidityand affect digestion. Rather eat small meals to feel light and keep your system active.Don't forget raw mango:In the summer season, raw mango is a special fruit and is extremely good to prevent sunstrokes and weakness. Raw mango juice also known asaam pannacan help balance electrolytes in the body. You can also have raw mango in any form like adding it in bhel, salads or making a dish out of it.

🍬🚫 Tips to Reduce Sugar Intake 🥗🍏In a world filled with sugary temptations, cutting back on the sweet stuff can seem like a daunting task. But fear not, because with a few simple swaps and mindful choices, you can take control of your sugar consumption and embark on a journey to better health. Here are some tips to help you reduce your sugar intake:🍬Read Labels: Start by becoming a savvy label reader. Keep an eye out for hidden sugars lurking in seemingly innocent foods like yogurt, sauces, and cereals. Ingredients like high-fructose corn syrup, cane sugar, and maltose may disguise themselves under different names.🍬Choose Whole Foods: Opt for whole, unprocessed foods whenever possible. Fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, and whole grains are naturally low in sugar and packed with essential nutrients to keep you feeling satisfied and energized.🍬Swap Sugary Drinks: Ditch the soda and sugary juices in favour of water, herbal teas, or infused water. Not only will you slash your sugar intake, but you'll also stay hydrated and support overall well-being.🍬Sweeten Smart: When your sweet tooth calls, reach for healthier alternatives like fresh fruit, dates, or natural sweeteners such as stevia. These options provide sweetness without the added sugars found in traditional sweet treats.🍬Plan Ahead: Set yourself up for success by planning your meals and snacks in advance. Packing nutritious, low-sugar options like veggies and hummus or nuts and seeds can help you avoid impulsive sugar cravings throughout the day.🍬Mindful Indulgence: While it's important to limit sugar intake, it's also essential to indulge in moderation. Allow yourself occasional treats and savour them mindfully, focusing on the taste, texture, and pleasure they bring without overindulging.By making small, sustainable changes to your diet and lifestyle, you can gradually reduce your sugar intake and reap the rewards of improved health and vitality.
