While Hendricks has given up 5 or more earned runs in each of his starts this season, he’s had success against the Marlins in the past. Miami’s 27th-ranked offense (3.59 runs per game) should be a welcome sight for any pitcher in need of a bounceback.

BET CUBS (-130).

Run line/Against the spread

While Miami +1.5 (-190) should be able to score enough runs against Hendricks to keep it close, I don’t recommend risking $190 to win $100 on a team that is 7-8 ATS on the season as a run-line underdog.

PASS. Bet the ML and/or total instead.

Over/Under

While I don’t expect Hendricks to give up 7 earned runs for a 3rd straight start, I’m still leaning Over with him on the mound.

His 5 or more earned runs in each start looks good for Over bettors; however, those games were against top-12 offenses in the Diamondbacks, Los Angeles Dodgers, San Diego Padres and Texas Rangers.

There’s a chance that he looks like a completely different pitcher against Miami’s lineup.
