What happened to soy sauce ramen? ›

The name Oriental Flavor has now been updated to Soy Sauce Flavor to better reflect the distinct flavor profile of this tasty dish. Despite the name change, the traditional flavor and recipe of this product have remained the same.

And each delicious bowl comes with its own unique flavor sauce inside—teriyaki for Chicken, sweet & savory for Beef, sesame for Soy Sauce and garlic for Shrimp.

According to the company, the name 'Nissin' originates as an abbreviated form of the expression 「日々清らかに豊かな味をつくる」 (Hibi kiyoraka ni yutakana aji o tsukuru), coined by company founder Momof*cku Ando, and representing his desire for the company.
